This morning started with a hefty dose of artistic culture when we visited the Art Gallery to catch an exhibition by a little known artist by the name of Pablo Picasso.
(Yesterday we went to the Museum.Isn't Phar Lap a big boy!)
It was a delight and focused on the period during Franco’s takeover and Picasso’s relationship with Dora.
It was tempting to hang around for the AFL Grand Final Parade, but we wanted to make Canberra by nightfall and so set off.
We took a detour through Puckapunyal.I love saying it. Puck a pun y’all.
It’s a military base and they learn to shoot and bomb things at their school of armoury there-but-what we wanted to see were the TANKS!!
It as pretty cool and I selected this contraption to take home.

It’s basically a bridge and I think it could come in quite handy.
We then got sidetracked by Glenrowan.
It was the site of Ned Kelly’s last stand!
Sadly the camera battery was running out of juice and all I managed to snap was the kitchen in the replica Kelly house.

But I really loved how on the very spot where Ned Kelly finally fell, wounded by gun shots to his legs, they had a Ned Kelly replica made out of a cut up telephone pole, complete with red paint on his telephone pole legs to depict the gun shots.
It was gold I tell you.
I have really enjoyed Victoria. My previous visits have always been work related and restricted to the South Melbourne (sometimes mistaken for Sydney during AFL Grand Finals that don’t include Victorian teams) area.
I’m still thinking about the tan! Im guessing it’s called the tan because it’smade out of gravel.
Did they run out of paving stones?
They probably used them all up building *Jeff’s Shed.
4.58pm
We have crossed the border into NSW!!
5.05pm
Err, aren’t we s’posed to be in Canberra?
We have decided to stop in Albury Woodonga for the night!
Next Stop-Canberra
Song of the Day- Mr Natural, Mental as Anything.
*Jeff= former Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett, who became well known for closing down schools and building Lego freeways all over the place and charging people money to use them.
Here is my Picasso influenced artistic impression of him.
